Most passports do not need a visa to visit Malaysia. A defined list of nationalities does, and for them Malaysia issues a tourist eVisa online. Nearly every visitor also has to register the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card. Choose your passport to see what applies to you.
MyVisitVisa is a private company, not a government agency. We prepare, check and submit your application - you can also apply directly on the official Malaysia Immigration (MYVISA) website.

The eVisa is generally valid for 90 days from issue, with a maximum stay of 30 days per entry. Note the distinction - the 90 days is the window in which you must enter, not how long you can remain.
Nepalese, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan passport holders generally require a visa, and some nationalities fall under a Visa With Reference arrangement requiring additional approval from Malaysian immigration. Requirements differ meaningfully between these nationalities, so contact us for a check specific to your passport.
The government fee is modest compared with other visas in the region, and our service fee is shown separately at checkout. Because the fee is set in USD and converted, we confirm the exact amount when you apply.
Typically around 2 to 5 calendar days for a complete application, though it can take longer at busy times or if additional checks apply to your nationality. Apply at least 1 to 2 weeks before travel to leave room for corrections.
The usual causes are a passport with insufficient validity, a photo that doesn't meet the white-background specification, an unconfirmed onward ticket, and incomplete residency evidence. Applications from visa-required nationalities are scrutinised more closely, so document quality matters.
Yes. The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card is required of all foreign visitors and is separate from your visa. It's free on the official Malaysian Immigration portal, must be submitted at least 3 days before arrival, and is single-use - you need a new one for every entry.
The autogate facility is available to certain passport holders, primarily Australian and New Zealand nationals, after a first manual entry. If you're travelling on an eVisa you should expect to be processed at a manual immigration counter.
No. Tourist eVisas are generally not extendable. If you need longer than 30 days you must plan for it before you travel, or exit and apply again - which is not guaranteed to be approved.
Overstaying can result in fines, detention, deportation and being blacklisted from future entry to Malaysia. Penalties increase with the length of overstay, and for visa-required nationalities a blacklist is difficult to reverse.
No. The tourist eVisa covers tourism, visiting family and friends, and business meetings only. Employment of any kind requires an appropriate work pass arranged before you travel.
Yes. Each traveller requires an individual eVisa and their own MDAC submission, including children and infants. We can process the family together in a single booking.
Probably not. Malaysia publishes a list of nationalities that require a visa, and most passports are not on it. Choose your passport at the top of this page and we will show you whether you need a visa and what it costs.

Indian citizens are visa exempt until 31 December 2026. After that date the exemption would have to be extended by Malaysia, so check again closer to your trip.
