Vietnam issues e-Visas online through its National Electronic Visa system, and foreigners with a valid passport can apply, with limited exceptions set by Vietnamese law. Some passports can visit without a visa for a short stay. Choose your passport to see what you need, the total price and how long it takes.
MyVisitVisa is a private company, not a government agency. We prepare, check and submit your application - you can also apply directly on the official Vietnam National eVisa website.

Up to 90 days, available as either single entry or multiple entry. Multiple entry lets you leave and re-enter Vietnam during the 90-day validity, which is useful if you're combining Vietnam with Cambodia, Laos or Thailand.
If you're flying in and out of Vietnam once, single entry is enough. Choose multiple entry if you plan side trips to neighbouring countries and will re-enter Vietnam, since a single-entry e-visa is used up the moment you leave.
A passport valid for at least 6 months with at least two blank pages, a clear digital scan of your passport data page, and a recent 4x6 passport-style photo on a white background, facing forward with no glasses. You'll also provide your entry and exit dates and your intended port of entry.
Official processing is generally around 3 to 5 working days, excluding weekends and Vietnamese public holidays. Apply at least a week before departure where possible, as applications submitted with errors have to be started again.
The most frequent causes are a photo that doesn't meet the specification, a blurred or cropped passport scan, names entered in the wrong order, and mismatched passport numbers. Photo and scan quality account for a large share of rejections - which is exactly what we check before lodging.
Government portals do occasionally go down or reject valid documents without explanation. If you're stuck, we can lodge on your behalf - many of our customers come to us precisely because the official site failed or their application was rejected without a clear reason.
The government fee is USD 25 for single entry and USD 50 for multiple entry. Our service fee, shown at checkout, covers document checking, correct lodgement and support until your visa is issued.
The e-visa is now accepted at a wide range of international airports, land crossings and seaports. However, you should enter through the port you nominated in your application, so choose it carefully and tell us if your plans change.
Your e-visa application asks for your intended entry and exit dates and address in Vietnam. Immigration officers may also ask to see an onward ticket, so it's sensible to have your bookings accessible on arrival.
Extensions are possible in some cases but are handled through Vietnamese immigration and are not guaranteed. If you know you'll need longer, it's far safer to apply for the 90-day multiple-entry e-visa upfront than to rely on extending.
Overstaying results in fines at the airport on departure, delays to your flight, and potential difficulties obtaining future Vietnamese visas. Fines are charged per day of overstay and must be settled before you're allowed to leave.
No. The e-visa covers tourism, visiting family and friends, and business meetings. Paid employment requires a work permit and an appropriate visa arranged before you start work.
Yes. Every traveller needs an individual e-visa, including infants and children. We can process the whole family in one booking.
Yes. A visa is permission to travel to the border, not a guarantee of entry. Refusals are uncommon but can happen where details don't match your passport, you arrive at a different port than nominated, or you have a prior immigration breach.
Most visitors need a visa, which you can get online as an e-Visa. Some passports can visit Vietnam without a visa for a short stay. Choose your passport at the top of this page to see what applies to you.
